In Colours of Marsaxlokk the artist sets out to capture the vibrant atmosphere of the much-loved old fishing village on Malta’s south-east coast. The traditional and instantly recognisable colours of the ‘luzzu’ boats are dappled across the water in reflections reminiscent of the pointillist paintings of Seurat or Signac.
