Allura offers expert art consultancy for private, commercial, and public spaces - curating bespoke, site-specific artworks which elevate design, reflect brand values and tell meaningful cultural stories.
Founded as an online platform to support Malta-based contemporary artists, Allura has since grown into a hybrid model: part gallery, part creative studio, part cultural consultant. We now collaborate with leading architects, developers, interior designers and public institutions to integrate fine art into Malta’s most high-profile environments - from luxury hotels to airport terminals and landmark real estate developments.

Art curation and commissions
Tailored selections of original artworks to suit each space, vision and brand. We work with a diverse network of Maltese and Malta-based artists to create culturally relevant and aesthetically powerful results.
Site-specific artworks
We commission custom pieces which respond to architecture, natural light, materials, and spatial energy - including large-scale paintings, murals and innovative formats such as backlit translucent canvases.

Laura Swale
Laura Swale - Artist, curator and project director
Laura Swale is a multidisciplinary artist and curator who leads the creative vision at Allura. With over 30 years of experience in the visual arts, she combines creative insight with practical planning, often contributing original artworks herself alongside curating thoughtfully crafted collections. From initial concept to final installation, Laura manages all creative commissions, collaborating closely with clients, architects and designers to create site-specific artwork and installations which are both visually striking and culturally meaningful.
Her diverse portfolio spans large-scale commissions for commercial and residential spaces, including bespoke collections and original murals and statement pieces which enrich interiors with purpose and narrative.
Professional Background
Laura studied Fine Art at Bath Spa University, earning a BA (Hons). She began her career balancing gallery work with her own studio practice before moving into arts education, where she led departments in the UK and internationally for 15 years. After relocating to Malta, she founded Allura to bring her expertise in curation and artistic production to a broader audience. Her leadership has been recognised through awards and accolades for innovative arts projects.
She also contributes as an art prize judge, guest speaker and cultural writer for national newspapers such as the Times of Malta and Malta Independent.
