The artist observes the view of Fort St. Angelo and its surroundings from his window almost every day. He is captivated by how changes in the weather transform the mood of the entire panorama. In this painting, however, he allowed himself to be more imaginative, particularly in the depiction of the sky, where artistic expression takes precedence over realism. In the foreground, Boffa Hospital and a few trees along Harper Lane in Floriana complete the scene.
