In Mġarr ix-Xini Tower, the artist captures the Mġarr ix-Xini valley, at the limits of Xewkija in Gozo, from a dramatic and unusual vantage point. Rough, textural brushwork defines the rugged character of the landscape, while effective use is made of a limited palette of complementary oranges and blues to contrast the cliff-face with the flat blue seas beneath it.
