Our story
Allura is a Maltese word meaning "so..." or "what's next?" - a natural invitation to begin a new creative journey. Founded originally as Malta Open Art Studios, Allura was built on the tradition of the early French salons and open studio movements: opening up artist studios and going behind the scenes to demystify the creative process, share artist secrets and bring art directly into public and private spaces.
Today, we operate as a hands-on art studio and e-gallery, curating immediately available original paintings alongside large-scale artworks, bespoke site-specific installations and tailored collections for corporate developments, boutique hospitality and private residences. From on-site execution for commercial spaces to personal residential commissions, we manage the entire creative process from initial brief to final installation, always at direct studio prices.
We believe acquiring art should be an inspiring, transparent and deeply rewarding experience. Whether you are seeking a recent original painting rooted in Maltese heritage or embarking on a custom commission, Allura provides expert guidance every step of the way.
