Laura Swale is a visual artist and art writer from the UK with a background in art education and leadership, cultural event planning, gallery and curatorial work.
After studying art at Bath Spa University in the UK, Laura graduated with a B.A. Hons and began her career working for a gallery. She then spent 15 years as an art teacher and department leader in UK and international schools and two years as an artist in residence, before relocating to Malta and establishing Allura. The company has been recognised for its innovative work in the arts sector, with a number of awards and nominations for its projects and events.
Laura has been a contributing arts and cultural writer for the Times of Malta and Malta Independent national newspapers. She is on the judging panel of the annual Sovereign Student Art Prize and has been involved with judging and selection on a range of other art competitions and events.
