Although there are no natural lakes in Malta, this temporary body of water appeared in a field in the outer limits of Lija after a period of particularly heavy rains. In L-Ghadira, meaning ‘The Lake’, the artist sought to immortalise the fleeting beauty of the floodwater before it disappeared altogether.
