The artist likes to visit a coffee shop regularly to enjoy the pleasant yet energetic atmosphere. This time as soon as she entered she was amazed at how most of the customers had their faces lit by a mobile or a tablet. It reminded her of modern day tenebrism. This experience inspired Catch a Glimpse. It represents that specific moment when in this gadget filled world one can finally have the full attention of another person.
