Gallery - The Trail 2018

The Trail 2018 was a walking tour of pop-up open artists’ studios which took place in 20 venues across St Julian’s and Sliema simultaneously over the weekend of Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November. The event was endorsed by the Valletta 2018 Foundation (now the Valletta Cultural Agency) as part of the programme for Valletta, European Capital of Culture 2018.

The Trail was the first studio trail of its kind in Malta. Over two days, Allura invited residents and visitors to meet more than 50 artists who were hosted at a range of public venues in ‘pop-up’ open art studios. Visitors could experience artists at work, photograph, discuss, try or buy their artworks and products. The event included a wide range of disciplines, styles and genres, from digital and photographic art, to sculpture, fine art, ceramics, wood and metal work, virtual reality, film, video-games, fashion, costume and surface pattern design, printmaking, artisan crafts, designer handcrafted jewellery, illustration, graphic, architectural and product design, 3D printing and carving and various other visual art forms.
